WHY IT MATTERS
Preparing for a CARF survey can feel overwhelming when you are interpreting more than a thousand standards while keeping programs running. As an active CARF surveyor, Rienzzie brings a rare inside perspective — he knows what surveyors look for, because he is one.
ORIGINAL SURVEY VS. RE-SURVEY
Whether it is your organization's first CARF survey or your third re-survey, the preparation is different. First-time applicants typically need the most hands-on support — interpreting the standards, building documentation from scratch, and aligning staff before the survey commences. Accredited organizations approaching a re-survey usually need a more targeted approach: confirming continued conformance, closing gaps that have opened since the last survey, and making sure new staff and updated programs are survey-ready. Rienzzie tailors the scope of services to where your organization actually stands today.
WHAT RIENZZIE DOES
Mock Survey & Gap Analysis
Every engagement starts with a mock survey. It simulates the real accreditation survey and gives you a documented picture of where you stand before the actual team arrives. It typically includes:
A gap analysis conducted against the applicable CARF standards
Review of policies, procedures, plans, and reports for accuracy and completeness
Review of practice as it pertains to the CARF Standards
Identification of specific opportunities for improvement
A written summary of findings, shared with the staff responsible for survey preparation
This is the foundation that everything else builds on — you cannot close gaps you have not identified.
Policy, Procedure & Documentation Support
CARF accreditation depends heavily on documentation, and it is often where organizations lose the most ground. Rienzzie reviews existing policies, procedures, plans, reports, and participant files against the CARF standards. Where documents are missing, outdated, or do not yet conform to the standards, he works directly with your assigned staff to revise or write them — covering both program-level and administrative documentation.
Review of existing policies and procedures against applicable standards
Revision or creation of missing or non-conforming documentation
Program-level and administrative documentation support
Review of participant files and reports for conformance
